<p>If You want to keep customers, A Newsletter is a must.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t have a Newsletter, you have no way of following up with your paying customers, or for that matter, any potential customers. Someone that has purchased from you once is very likely to purchase again. You don&#8217;t want to run the risk of losing that person because you don&#8217;t have a follow up method in place. A Newsletter.</p>
<p>The standard for publishing your newsletter is generally once a week. You may want to publish bi-weekly. It will really depend on what you&#8217;re trying to convey to your readers.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Creating a steady income from home can be a daunting process. Being successful from home can often take more work than your regular 9 to 5. But, if you learn to break things down and follow a simple forumla, your home business can give you all the income and time freedom that you are seeking in a work from home business.</p>
<p>My successful business formula involves 5 steps. I follow these same five steps with every person I come into contact with. Having a system not only makes my days more organized, but also it opens up more time for me to enjoy the financial rewards that the system creates.</p>
<p>Here is my simple formula:</p>
<p>Step 1; Collect Leads:</p>
<p>This is an entire article in itself (which is in the works). For the sake of keeping this article on track, I will touch on this only briefly. There are many ways to get leads. You can buy leads, place ads in papers and on the net, use ad words, submit your site to search engines, mail postcards, etc. There are literally 100&#8217;s of ways to advertise. The trick is finding a couple of advertising techniques that you like best and that fit your budget and then try them out. Those that bring you the most success can be tweaked further to give you the results you want. Just remember to always test each ad or lead generating technique you use. From my own experience, I like to talk to those that are in my business and find out what they are doing. They have most often been through the trial and error process and can save you some time.</p>
<p>Step 2; Call Leads:</p>
<p>This is the step that most people have reservations about. If you want to be successful in any home business, you must pick up the phone. This does not mean &#8220;cold&#8221; calling people. I never call anybody that has not asked to hear about my home business. Use your lead generating techniques in step one to create leads that want to hear from you and then contact them. Whether you business costs $5 or $5000 to join, people want to know that there is a real person behind the business that they can consult with questions. Talking to them and establishing a rapport and trust will go a long way to making sure that the prospect joins you in your home business. When still a &#8220;rookie&#8221; to making calls, it is best to have a script or outline to follow. This is not to say that you read directly from that. Just use it as a guide to keep you on track and in control of the call. Most importantly in regards to calls&#8230;&#8230;LISTEN. Listen and take notes about what the prospect is telling you. Remember, you are trying to get to know this person and establish their trust.</p>
<p>Step 3; Email</p>
<p>It is hard to ignore this powerful tool. When collecting my leads, I always get an email and phone number to use in step 2 and 3 of my system. Just as I do not make cold calls, I do not send emails to those who have not asked for it. Spam complaints will kill your business and your rapport with people. When I get an email, I simply have that email address automatically entered into an autoresponder. My autoresponder then sends messages every few days to keep me fresh in my prospects mind. Autoresponders are a must have for any business. They allow you to stay in contact for long periods of time while doing virtually no work. They also increase the amount of times your prospect is exposed to you and your business. Remember this, on average a prospect must see your message 5 to 12 times before joining you.</p>
<p>Step 4; Direct Mail Information Packet.</p>
<p>With all of the new email laws and email blocking systems, direct mail is making a comeback. As I said in step 3, you want to expose yourself to your prospect as many times as possible. But, if you use one method of exposure&#8230;.your prospect may begin to ignore you. Diversifying your exposure types will keep them interested. I must state that I do not mail information packets to everybody. Only those that I have talked with and that have expressed interest. Mailing the packets can become expensive if you mail them to everyone. That said, putting the pack together is very easy. I used the ad copy on my website to develop the packet. Then I throw in a business card or flyer and send it on its way. This also makes sure that people actually see the content of your site. Many have seen so many websites that they just browse them. They are more apt to sit down and read printed text than to sit at their computer and read through your website.</p>
<p>Step 5; Direct Mail Postcard.</p>
<p>Postcards, like direct mail, give you another way to expose yourself to your prospects. They are fun to design and can be sent quickly and easily. Because they are less expensive than the direct mail packets, I send a postcard to all of my leads. People love getting postcards. They do have the junk mail stigma and if designed well, they can give a personal touch to your business. I actually send a postcard campaign that sends multiple postcards over a period of 45 &#8211; 60 days to my prospects. I use a service that does this automatically and even personalizes each card for me.</p>
<p>Always remember this, it takes on average 5 to 12 exposures to get somebody into your business. My 5-step process actually includes multiple exposures within each step. For example, my emails include phone numbers to live calls and links to movies to watch. One email can get me three or more exposures. The key to any business is to have a formula or process to follow. Knowing what you are going to do each day keeps you focused and allows you to track how your business is doing and what may or may not be working.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it! Those 5 simple steps earn me a consistent 6-figure income from home. Your results may differ based on your business, and your compensation plan among other things, but this process will definitely increase your sign up rate.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s why: I started a few years ago promoting one of my own business sites through Adwords and made a few thousand dollars every month, but at this time, Adwords was still in its infancy. However, the Adwords playing field has changed since those days and now there are two types of Adwords user, the savvy, and the losers. The losers will quickly figure out that dumping a load of Overture collected keywords into an Adgroup and setting a general CPC on all the keywords at once is definitely not the right way to go about it, and they complain claiming &#8220;Adwords is too difficult&#8221; and this is where many of them leave. However, those who decide to find out why their Adwords aren&#8217;t pulling as well they want them to, will found out that the key to success is RELEVANCY. I will say this again, RELEVANCY is key, especially with Google.</p>
<p>Laser-targeted bring sales my friend, not traffic. This fact is pivotal in Adwords, and if you are targetting high traffic relevant keywords you are well on your way to raking in many sales with your Adwords campaigns.</p>
<p>Here is what you can do to find these highly targetted keywords:</p>
<p>1. Go to Google suggest: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&amp;hl=en</p>
<p>2. The Google suggest tool will show you relevant results as you type in a search term. Try it and see what you get. For example if I type in &#8216;online dating&#8217;, the tool will return a list of other keyword related to &#8216;online dating&#8217;. However, the keywords are also shown in the order they are being searched.</p>
<p>3. Select the keyword which are relevant to what you are selling and put them into overture &#8211; http://inventory.uk.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ &#8211; and Overture will give you a few more related terms.</p>
<p>4. Add all of the relevant keywords to a separate Adgroup and create a new Ad for this specific Adgroup.</p>
<p>5. Watch the relevant traffic roll in and your sales increase &#8216;many-fold&#8217;!</p>
<p>Follow this method and you won&#8217;t go far wrong.</p>
<p>There are some keyword research tools which facilitate this research process and automatically weed out the very low traffic keywords and help you in creating high click-thru ads and keywords. A few of these are very good, but many are useless.</p>

<p>Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.</p>
<p>1. Know the best program and products to promote. Obviously, you would want to promote a program that will enable you to achieve the greatest profits in the shortest possible time.</p>
<p>There are several factors to consider in selecting such a program. Choose the ones that have a generous commission structure. Have products that fit in with your target audience. And that has a solid track record of paying their affiliate easily and on time. If you cannot seem to increase your investments, dump that program and keep looking for better ones.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Your subject lines plays a crucial role in any email campaign ads whether you&#8217;re using safelists, autoresponders, ezine solo ads or any opt-in list where email is involved. Your subject line will make or break your return on your investment so make sure you get their attention first.</p>
<p>Here are six headlines that have worked for me in the past which I&#8217;m sure will work for you too.  The technology will always change but peoples desire to succeed and curiosity will not.</p>
<p>1. Promote Your URL Here &#8211; Free!</p>
<p>For whatever reasons, I&#8217;ve had so much success using this subject line when promoting free classified sites, safelists, and those viral ad boards.</p>
<p>2. Hi, My name is Paul</p>
<p>This works simply because it raises prospects curiosity. I&#8217;m always a sucker for this subject line. Who&#8217;s this Paul anyway? I&#8217;ve had success with this using ezine solo ads.</p>
<p>3. I need your help, please?</p>
<p>There&#8217;s something about being a human, always wanting to help another human being, It&#8217;s hard to explain, it just works.</p>
<p>4. Bob, I haven&#8217;t received your shipping address yet.</p>
<p>What! my shipping address? why do you need my shipping address for. This particular subject line really piqued my interest. If you are sending post cards to your members or prospects, this will improve your sales especially if you personalize it.</p>
<p>5. How my site got listed #1 on Google, for free!</p>
<p>This one made several sales from Trafficswarm traffic exchange program when I was promoting an affiliate program about search engine e-book. Even made more sales with ezine solo ads using the same subject line.</p>
<p>6. Paul, Please accept my sincerest apology.</p>
<p>When I saw this subject line from an email, my first reaction was, &#8220;who/why/what are you sorry about?&#8230;huh?&#8221; Exactly it got my attention and my curiosity.  The sender was apologizing for not sending that email sooner which was about a new traffic exchange program. Good grief.</p>
<p>In conclusion, make your subject line so compelling that it&#8217;s almost irresistible for your prospects not to open the email message.  If you can hypnotize your readers with cleaver subject lines, you are half way to making a sale. Also when  people can recognize where that email message came from, that will help getting your email message open as well. Don&#8217;t use fake names, use your real name instead.</p>
<p>Of course, I am not recommending that you use any of these headlines if they are not true in relation to the content of the e-mail message. If you rely on deception in e-mail marketing, all you will do is tarnish your reputation<br />
and your credibility.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Your web business probably gets product inquiries from potential customers around the globe. Inquiries come via e-mail and your web site, and you try to send information to each hot prospect as quickly as you can. You know that you can drastically increase the likelihood of making a sale by satisfying each person&#8217;s need for information quickly!</p>
<p>But, after you&#8217;ve delivered that first bit of information to your prospect, do you send him any further information?</p>
<p>If you are like most Internet marketers, you don&#8217;t.</p>
<p>When you don&#8217;t follow that initial message with additional information later on, you let a valuable prospect slip from your grasp! This is a potential customer who may have been very interested in your products, but who lost your contact information, or was too busy to make a purchase when your first message reached him. Often, a prospect will purposely put off making a purchase, to see if you find him important enough to follow up with later. When he doesn&#8217;t receive a follow up message from you, he will take his business elsewhere.</p>
<p>Are you losing profits due to inconsistent and ineffective follow up?</p>
<p>Following up with leads is more than just a process &#8211; it&#8217;s an art. In order to be effective, you need to design a follow up system, and stick to it, EVERY DAY! If you don&#8217;t follow up with your prospects consistently, INDIVIDUALLY, and in a timely fashion, then you might as well forget the whole follow up process.</p>
<p>Consistent follow up gets results!<br />
When I first started marketing and following up with prospects, I used a follow up method that I now call the &#8220;List Technique.&#8221; I had a large database containing the names and e-mail addresses of people who had specifically requested information about my products and services. These prospects had already received my first letter by the time they requested more information, so I used the company&#8217;s latest news as a follow up piece. I would write follow up newsletters every now and then, and send them, in one mass mailing, to everyone who had previously requested information from me. While this probably did help me win a few additional orders, it wasn&#8217;t a very good follow up method. Why isn&#8217;t the &#8220;List Technique&#8221; very effective?</p>
<p>The List Technique isn&#8217;t consistent. Proponents of the List Technique tend to only send out follow up messages when their companies have &#8220;big news&#8221;.</p>
<p>List Technique messages don&#8217;t give the potential customer any additional information about the product or service in question. He can&#8217;t make a more informed buying decision after receiving a newsletter! If someone is wondering whether your company sells the best knick-knacks, what does he care that you&#8217;ve just moved your headquarters?</p>
<p>List Technique messages convey a &#8220;big list&#8221; mentality to your potential customers. When I used to write follow up messages using the List Technique, I was writing news bulletins to everyone I knew! I should have been sending a personal message to each individual who wanted to know more about my products.</p>
<p>What follow up method really works?</p>
<p>Following up with each lead individually, multiple times, but at set intervals, and with pre-written messages, will dramatically increase sales! Others who use this same technique confirm that they have all at least doubled the sales of various products! In order to set this system up, though, you need to do some planning.</p>
<p>First, you&#8217;ll need to develop your follow up messages. If you&#8217;ve been marketing on the Internet for any length of time, then you should already have a first informative letter. Your second letter marks the beginning of the follow up process, and should go into more detail than the first letter. Fill this letter with details that you didn&#8217;t have the space to add to the first letter. Stress the BENEFITS of your products or services!</p>
<p>Your next 2-3 follow up messages should be rather short. Include lists of the benefits and potential uses of your products and services. Write each letter so that your prospects can skim the contents, and still see the full force of your message.</p>
<p>The next couple of follow up messages should create a sense of urgency in your prospect&#8217;s mind. Make a special offer, giving him a reason to order NOW instead of waiting any longer. After reading these follow up messages, your prospect should want to order immediately!</p>
<p>Phrase each of your final 1 or 2 follow up messages in the form of a question. Ask your prospect why he hasn&#8217;t yet placed an order? Try to get him to actually respond. Ask if the price is to high, the product isn&#8217;t the right color or doesn&#8217;t have the right features, or if he is looking for something else entirely. (By this time, it&#8217;s unlikely that this person will order from you. However, his feedback can help you modify your follow up letters or products, so that other prospects will order from you.)</p>
<p>The timing of your follow up letters is just as important as their content. You don&#8217;t want one prospect to receive a follow up the day after he gets your initial informative letter, while another prospect waits weeks for a follow up!</p>
<p>Always send an initial, informative letter as soon as it is requested, and send the first follow up 24 hours afterwards. You want your hot prospects to have information quickly, so that they can make informed buying decisions!</p>
<p>Send the next 2-3 follow up messages between 1 and 3 days apart. Your prospect is still hot, and is probably still shopping around! Tell him about the benefits of your products and services, as opposed to your competitors&#8217;. You will make the sale!</p>
<p>Send the final follow up messages later on. You certainly don&#8217;t want to annoy your prospect! Make sure that these last letters are at least 4 days apart.</p>
<p>Following up effectively seems complicated, but it doesn&#8217;t have to be! So many potential customers are lost because of poor follow up &#8211; don&#8217;t you want to be one of the few to get it right?</p>
